George Pompidou Centre

Dali Museum

Hotel des Invalides
Founded in 1675 to look after French ex servicemen and now housing the Musée de l'Armée, the Musée des Plans-Reliefs, the Musée de l'Ordre de la Libération and L'Eglise de St-Louis-des-Invalides. Esplanade des Invalides , Paris , (01 44 42 37 70).

Musée d'Art moderne de la Ville de Paris

Musée du Petit Palais
The Petit Palais was built Universal Exhibition in 1900 with art nouveau architecture. Houses ancient artefacts, medieval objects, rare manuscripts and books, Dutch paintings from the seventeenth century. Monet's Sunset at Lavacourt and Boudin's Gust of Wind at Le Havre can be seen at the petit Palais. Av. Winston-Churchill, 8th Arrondissement, (42 65 12 73).

Musée Marmottan

Musée de Montmartre

Musée National du Moyen Age – Thermes de Cluny
The museum of Medieval Art with carpets, artefacts and Roman remains. Place Paul-Poinlevé.

Musée d'Orsay
Home to the great artists of the 19th century (1848-1914). The Musée d'Orsay is an old train station converted into a Museum and dedicated to the period 1848 to 1914. Quai d'Orsay (01 4049 4814).

The Musee du Louvre
One of the finest museums in the world for art and culture. The main entrance is via the Pyramide. Alternative entry points are the Porte des Lions, or under the Arc du Carousel. A star attraction is the Mona Lisa. 34- 36 Quai du Louvre (01 4020 5317).

Musée de l'Orangerie

Picasso Museum

Rodin Museum
